Schuetzen Powder Energetics, Inc. is a national leader in black powder propellants for black powder firearms, pyrotechnics, mining, and military applications.  Schuetzen Powder Energetics, Inc. is a joint venture between Petro-Explo, Inc. and WANO Schwarzpulver GmbH., of Germany.

WANO is the largest producer of black powder in Europe and has been producing black powder in the same factory since 1682.   WANO has the widest selection of black powders manufactured to various specifications (MIL-P-223 (USA), NATO, UK, etc.) and can custom manufacture due to it’s ability to blend a variety of charcoals to specification.

Poudrerie d’Aubonne is located north of Geneva, Switzerland and while not a large factory, it produces what is considered the “Best” black powder in the world.  One of the last factories in the world to manufacture its own charcoal, Aubonne follows an extremely strict production process that’s been developed by the Swiss Military over the centuries to produce the highest quality and highest performing black powder.  Only the highest quality of components are used and this commitment to quality is why Swiss black powder is the preferred black powder among the best competitors in the world.

Schuetzen Powder Energetics, Inc. imports and distributes both WANO black powders, sold in the USA as Schuetzen Black Powder, and Swiss Black Powder, and we have recently started importing our own Schuetzen Musket Caps that have proven themselves to be the hottest musket cap on the market.  Our goal is not to just supply the best in black powder shooting products, but to also help educate shooters and develop the black powder shooting market.
